Your financial support will go a long way towards helping us empower Liberian Market Women, thereby ensuring that the country strengthens its economy and nutritional health, and the children of market women attain standards of education that every child deserves.

A great asset to SMWF is the African Women's Development Fund. The AWDF, based in Accra, Ghana, was established in 2000 as the first Africa-wide fundraising and grant-making fund for women. The AWDF funds local, national, sub-regional and regional organizations in Africa that work towards African women's empowerment. In the past, the AWDF has funded the Sierra Leone Market Women's Association (SLMWA) in support of its organizational efforts and continues its support of market women through its work with the SMWF.

The Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Market Women's Fund is funded by grants under a fiscal sponsorship arrangement with the African Women's Development Fund USA Inc. (AWDF-USA), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization.
